Hi all,
I have a S/C Nytro...a blast to trail ride! but It did not seem to hold up to the bumps. The SC oil tank mounting bracket snapped off. Has anyone else had this happen? if so has someone making a more robust mounting/ vibration isolation kit?
Thanks for any help,
Eric

Mine broke on my RX1. I just had it welded. I thought the Nytro used the stock oil tank? When it's lite the chance of breaking gets higher. Just remember how much fun it is to ride when you pay for the welding...

I think I am going to make something better than these hose clamps to hold the charger oil resovoir I found some brackets for 3" sanitary tubing at WWW.BEHRINGERSYSTEMS.COM
someone from mpi feel free to chime in here. Do the kits going to yamaha have a more robust resovoir mounting bracket design???

I beat mine pretty good and never broke, at least that i noticed, I'll take a peak at it tonight. I was thinking they were fairly robust, maybe not.

- None, looking now!
this is crazy. That tank mounts pretty solid on my attak. I guess if a nut/bolt came loose, then maybe I can see it vibrating a bit to ad stress.
I better take a closer look at mine as well then. lol

ya, just welding it. It just cracks where the bracket hooks to the tank.

Checked mine after 3 years of beating still perfect. Lucky I guess.

Gizztracks is in the process of doctoring up my subframe, we explained to him the issue with this bracket...so I guess Ill see what he comes up with and post a picture.
In the mean time I'm dealing with the lack of venting, leaking exhaust, overheating, poor idiling, misfire at 6K rpm, 10th pair of new sliders, shot front bushings, small gas tank, etc...

Wow that is a long list of frustration! I got so lucky with my MPI apex once the initial bugs were worked out (much shorter list) Its been turn key. I dont even check the belts anymore. I dont even change the oil filter just oil once a year and try to keep the chassis together. The engine/SC has been flawless.
