My buddy just installed the ulmer clutch kit on his sea level 180!hp turbo
Can anyone help us out on where the washers are suppose to be
Like if it's 3-0-4
Do you put 3 washers on both sides of heel ( so six total
Then zero middle
And 4 on both sides (8 )total on tip?

Or
1 on one heel 2 on other heel
Zero middle
And 2 on both sides of tip (4)
Total ?
Or
3 one side heel
Zero mid
4 on one side tip?

Anyone help would be good. ASAP
Thanks

It's three tip and three in the heel, mine are three on one side , at the tip and three on the opposite side on the heel. No snow to do any real testing, but seems close so far.

Only use one side of the weight. 3-0 means three only on one side.

I got a trail mpi with the ulmer kit. Called for 3-0-3 and shifting at 8200 so switched to 2-0-2 and hiting 8600 but settling back around 8300. Should i try 1 at the tip ? Could the helix be to steep? Only have 50 miles on - maybe i should get it broke in some more first.

So do we put the weight in heel and tip on the same side of weight or opposite?

Same side is fine, just make sure they are all set up with washers on the same side of each of the weights so the clutch stays balanced.

Which way is preferred ?
Same side, opposite side, it doesn't matter as long as all weights are set the same.

With only 50 miles you'll be short on rpm until you get some more miles on. You could take 1 more washer off the tip, but you'll likely have to add it back with more miles.

ulmer just put a real good video on his facebook page , describing how to setup the weights.
