Que sera, sera! Lot’s of unknown wishes and dreams being pushed around on this subject, but one thing is for certain!
I love this age old snowmobile Trask Talk, and me and my old 2017 tuned Winder are looking forward to another season with even more added power then past years. And past year tunes were crazy quick which demanded two things. Respect for the throttle and lot’s of maintenance checks!
Our Yamacats have set many High Bench Marks since 2017 thru present, and now the Mach Z wants to set a couple.
Bring it on Doo, it’s what keeps it interesting!

I'm anxious for the snow to fly this winter. I'll have my thundercat in one bay, and my wife's 900r Renegade X in the other (because that was the "cutest" sled this year in her opinion).
In all seriousness, I think the 900r will run close to the 120 mph gps mark after some work without tuning, but that won't be enough to get by my boat anchor.

if u say so??If you guys keep telling people to buy something else, Cat will end up closing it's doors and ruin snowmobiling for you. That attitude is why out of every 100 snowmobiles that sell, only 3 of them have yamaha stickers. The cat chassis hides the weight well. But there must be some reason why the market share keeps dwindling. I would imagine weight may play a role in addition to poor quality control and engineering issues that seem to never get addressed. Polaris is winning the weight competition pretty handily and it has ate up ski doo's market domination in 2 strokes caused by the rev chassis. So it makes sense that weight gets brought up a lot.

It is time for a reality check!! Yamaha Is just a name that get 90% of there parts produced in China!!Sounds like good advise, have nothing against the Winder motor its pure Yamaha at its best, and i'm aware that that Yamaha is running painted Cats, thanks, sorry that I am a true blue and run a pure Yamaha offends you, and the fact I comment on the Total Yamaha sites that I help support, Cat has a forum too that probably needs some support.
Correct me if I am wrong but i believe the 998 block is manufacturer in China also..
Pure Yamaha is gone my friend and never coming back . You need to embrace and love cat ,we know deep down you want one!
Check this puppy this out "true blue "
Motor is manufactured in CCCCHINA along with all the parts
I spring ordered a 19 cat evenhough I always bled blue but I also have common sense. Saving 2k for the same sled was a no Brainer for me.
We order 2 sled that season from the same dealer and got a good rebate.

Your an Idiot!. I have nothing to explain to you... I may NOT be a VIP member NOW, but I have supported this site in the past. 2nd. If you have not noticed the SRX/Winder is a CAT with a Yamaha motor, but you obviously cannot figure that out.Who the f#%k cares, You have been on here all this time yet you won't support this site that probably help you many times over, guess that's why your a Cat guy.

It’s kinda sad, we’ve got two old 7 hp Yammy blowers from the late 80’s/early 90’s and they run circles around any newish 12 hp blowers. No comparison on quality or performance. Sad to hear the new versions have been cheapened up.It is time for a reality check!! Yamaha I just a name that get 90% of there parts produced in China!!

Still the best blower I owned.. eventhough they are not built like the original yamahas it still works better then any others manufacturers blower of the same sizeIt’s kinda sad, we’ve got two old 7 hp Yammy blowers from the late 80’s/early 90’s and they run circles around any newish 12 hp blowers. Hey slow998, sounds like you should have a very happy wife, with her getting a sled of her choice! Many guys buy themselves a second sled and it’s really just called “My Wife’s Sled”!I'm anxious for the snow to fly this winter.
But getting back to that 120 GPS, all I can say is Wow, because that 120 GPS mark is hard to achieve on snow with any stock sled! On ice, well, much easier to achieve for sure if studded for that!
My tuned Winder could get past that 120 GPS on snow, but not until it was tuned!
So if either of your stock sleds can do that, you have them running really good.
My old RX1 would do 115 or so, on the dreameter on a groomed trail, on ice 128. Big difference huh?
My winder dreameter will say 123-124 for a true 120 GPS without any spinning!
Good choice of sleds Slow998, sounds like a great winter for you and yours! Enjoy…

Hahah, truth be told, I'll probably spend more time on her sled than I will on mine.Hey slow998, sounds like you should have a very happy wife, with her getting a sled of her choice! Many guys buy themselves a second sled and it’s really just called “My Wife’s Sled”!

The reason I say 120 GPS is because my brother had a tuned 900t last winter that would ran 120-121 when the railroad bed was hard and fast. My thundercat would run 138-139 on the speedo, which show 134 GPS
