Now that the season is over for most, who did the best against the MACH Z? Someone must have gotten the jump on one of those sleds, I can't beleive it would take a turbo or S/C to compete. I would think someone with one of the filter kits + clutching must have come close?

I got a better ET then the Mach at our local 660 races. However, the mach just needs a little tweeking to benifite from the 20-30 hp gain it has over the RX-1 or Apex. Bottom line, HP will put you in front if each machine gets the equal amount of attention to setup. Overall, I think the mighty mach is overrated and the 4-strokes are underrated. Riding them all, I put the Apex/Attak far ahead of the Mach Z as far as an overall package.

I've got a 04 warrior- exhaust, HH's, ECP kit, and 180 megabite studs. I holeshot my brothers mach, but then he goes right by me. He seems to have about 7 mph on me on the lake. Now that he has clutched it, studded it and and put power domes on it, it is downright sick. Sumbitch goes by me with skis in the air. Hello, Simons? can you hear me now?

All I could claim was the holeshot with my 136" 03 w/ ripsaw and the 04 121, both stock; once my buddies Z got going there was no catching it... pretty impressive to ride, I rode the Z against a rev 800 and the closest he ever got to me was at the start line before we took off. I liked it but I won't leave the 4-stroke!!

Rode with my bud on a mack apprx 1000 mls. we had similar tracks as he put on a 6 pitch 1 1/4" with 144 down the middle. He also did the decomp. mod no clutch work that I know of. Last part of season he went to 166 studs as he was bending alot .I had stage 2 clutch kit ,air filters, 144 angled backers down the middle with tall alum. nuts. With the hookup I could get in my Rx I could get the jump 2 out of three times then they were pretty equal till about 90 or so then he would walk me big time. I also have rev. Shop time was't comparible though as his spent 2-3 weeks in getting diff. things updated ,others fixed. I'll stay with the :4STroke:

That pretty much matches my experience with my stock/studded 05 Warrior against my buddies unstudded 05 MachZ.

Suisse that video is pretty impressive considering its a prototype, cant wait to see the looks on some doo boys faces this year on the lake!

Well setup stock RX-1s vs well setup Mach Zs?

The Mach Z has tons of power for a stocker. If clutched/decompression holes pluged/proper suspension setup/traction, its no contest. The Zs fly when setup.

I will say however stock form, the Zs are very disappointing. Ive seen several 700s beat them. Box stock 700s no, but tuned 700s.

Bottom line, the Z is really in a different league. Time will tell as to how the Apexs will run with it but if you want to beat Mach Zs with RX-1s, you better blow it...BBY
