I have had an issue with totally soaked R foot when riding in loose fresh snow....enough so it soaks through decent boots, dripping down from the heat near the exhaust....any thoughts on preventing other than keeping ones foot away from that area?? Maybe I can divert it forward somehow....
This is one of only two issues I can drum up regarding this Viper..what a tremendous machine so far. (the other is clutch noise). Far and away better than my 09 Apex.
Thankx......

Now that I checked closer it is the oil tank that is melting the snow. Didn't want to spend any more $$ this year, but will need to get some Klim boots as recommended!!

LOL, I had the same issue from the clutch side and got a 1/4 inch of standing water in my brand new Yamaha boots made by FXR. I took them back and got a refund but the dealer and I both had a laugh after reading the Yamaha catalog . It reads the boots are " highly water resistant " That means there NOT water proof! Come on FXR why make a boot thats not water proof????

They don't keep the water out but the sure hold it in good, nothing leaked out of the boot.

I am back to my old cheap no name boots and dry feet again. Maybe get some klim's next year . Lesson learned...

Early this riding season I dropped into a stream cave nose first. Had to stand in shallow water to get sled out and I thanked the KLIM boot gods that I didn't have to ride back with wet feet.

Wearing my mickey mouse boots today out ice fishing. Waterproof and flexible. Toasty warm. Klim adrenaline for snowmobiling.

I put in a frogzskin vent system on the exhaust side and really helped with the snow by the exhaust.
