Had breakfast with the boys, and 1 girl this morning. Budda, and I didn't want to do the off trail thing, so we split up.
They enjoyed the tour of Docs shop. Jason had a turbo problem, and wasn't with us. The trails are about an 8. we need more snow.

O.K., how about this............

Let's try this one then.................

When we left Doc's over by Camel Riders, one of the younger guys need a trail permit so we went over to the Midway. From there we started north along FFH 13 but of course Rich insisted on visiting every power line, swamp, etc. on the way north. Now, I'll go anywhere on my Viper, but the RX-1 is somewhat of a handful boondocking. So RX-1 Yooper and I split from the group just a little south of Forest Glen and we did the big loop of going back over to Trail 7 (Baldy Lake); all the way north to Trail 8 (Coalwood) over to Shingleton; and then south on the Haywire .....is that 8 also?

Anyway. 7 was really good. But then we caught the groomer just south of intersection with 8. Coalwood was a little bumpy, but nothing that made 55 or so unmanagebale. Haywire from SHingleton to Boot Lake was sort of smooth. Once we left Boot Lake (after a Coke break) and came back to the trail, the Haywire going south toward Jackpine was somewhat bouncier.

We left the Jackpine and headed back for Corner Lake, etc. We ttok that road that's about 1/2 mi. south of Jackpine. It was O.K. and ditches were decent, but when we got to the end, we got on Trail 413. DON'T!!!!!!!!
It was the worst I've ever seen it in my 7 or 8 yrs. of coming up here. We got off of there and did some backwoods trails home.

For a change this year, I'll have to give Gerou (the guy who runs the Munising grommers) some credit. The trails they did were MUCH better than the last couple of years.

There, VMJ, That Better ?????

Jason had oil coming out of the vent tube.

Buddah, I got more tired reading about what we di, than actually doing it. Mrs. Yooper offered to make breakfast for us tomorrow. You get a bagle.

Yooper, Budda and Doc....great to meet you guys....had a great time with Doc....much fun was had by all....John, you wouldnt have had any fun, Rich was leading.....LOL, I have been really thinking hard about this JFK thing....LMAO

mr sled, and all,

I enjoyed the time I spent with you. I went riding during half time, and found out you guys made all the trails bumpy.

I've got to tell you another Doc story. We went riding yesterday, and Doc said his helmet was rattling. He had me ride his sled, with his helmet. No rattle. Then we had to go to the dealer, to have him do the test ride (1 1/2 hours there). No rattle. We tried to convince Doc that the rattle was in his head, to no avail. About half way home, he discovered it was the wooden beads, for the draw-string on his jacket collar, hitting his helmet.

Hey Sled and Jtssrx - HEE HEE HEEE ... HA HA
Damn weekend warriors!

Great meeting you Doc - Awesome place you have! I will bring a fudge cup with me next time for you to put your finger into! (Had to be there!)

Bill - hope you had a great time, and hope to ride together soon!

Warrior - Be ready to put some miles on again.

To everyone - Trails were awesome flat blankets, Thursday and Friday. But turned rough and real snirty on Sat. If you plan on chasing Rich into the ditches, DON'T!!! ***Anyone have a headlight and consolew pcs. laying around???!!!!*** The NOS-PRO RX1, doesn't look good upside down in the ditch.

I will be back in 2 weeks! See you there!

Jtssrx - No problem, that's why I put it on the truck, just in case.

Yamahagirl - Gina, I didn't know this was your user name, nice trail riding with you.

Tom - Let me know if your pics turned out. (Wheelie time!)

Jtssrx, did you tell everyone about the little fire you had at the Bear Trap before we got there?

I really wish I would have met more of you all there, but we spent most of our time in Kingston Plains on Friday and ended up coming home Saturday morning on our 12 hr drive.

Perhaps next time,
joel
