what is the benefit to everyone using the open helmets? I ride with a modular and a heated visor and don't have any real problems with it. I ride pretty darn aggressive too and just have to remove the helmet every time I stop. Granted when I ride in the powder I don't get crazy enough to fall off, but when I do I have been lucky not to rip anything out when the cord pulls out.

I went with the Mod 2 because I hate being hooked to the machine with a cord (only tried it once, that was enough for me).
Also my Mod 2 is a heavy pig expecially compared to the new one...just hope I don't get cold.

509 just came out with them this year. But I'm going to try one, I think.
