My 136 Conversion and Track Cutting. Updated for 2011

Got to take her out with all the snow we got. All i have to say is wow! This conversion makes this a whole new sled. It actually makes it enjoyable to ride off trail not a constant struggle.

The only problem was i stopped at a buddy's house came out to leave and it wouldn't start. I could here the fuel pump wasn't running, checked with a multimeter and it wasn't getting any power. Checked all the fuses they were good. Finally after i unplugged the connection on the dipstick and plugged it back in it ran and worked fine. What gives?

2011 Updates!

Well its that time of year to make the preseason mods again. So here is what is being done this year.

Removing the tunnel for powder coat.

Make sure you guys check your exhaust dognuts! This is what i found when i pulled my tank off for the first time.

The clamp had came off and looks like it had been riding around down there for a while. To my surprise though the dognut was in good shape and there were no signs of any leeking.

I checked my dognuts! tonight and found the exact same thing you did. Clamp was in the bottom of the heat shield and the spacer and bolt were missing. Glad I looked.

My donuts where not in the best shape when I pulled them out. Replaced them with copper ones since it was apart and just picked up some heat shielding since the one that was in there seems to be disappearing.

What did you use for heat sheilding? Is there anything we should be putting on these bolts to prevent this from happeneing?

I got my tunnel, footwells and handle bar riser all powdered last night. Turned out great and of course i forgot my camera.

I wemt to an aftermarket powersports store and got some universal heat sheilding. Ill post up some pictures when I do it.
