Yes we could make them as big as 06 and later YFZ.I believe Ricky Stator sells tierods to length.I am not overly concerned about breaking tierods on a sled since skiis and for that matter our a-arms are flexible and are able to take most hits.Seems on our sleds the tierod end are not the weak point like they were on older YFZ's.Also at some point the geometry is going to be changed since joints from YFZ are going to be slightly out further.Might help though.Only one way to find out!Looking forward to pics of your tunnel.

Speaking of tie-rods, i've got a set of .750 OD alum. ones just about ready to go into my 07. I tapered the ends a little to make it look a little better. Now i'm just waiting for our Fastenal rep. to get his head out of his a$$ and get me the correct left-hand tap. The rods will be slightly larger than the hole in the boot, so i'm not sure how well that will work. Probably just pull the boot in and out with the rod. Might have to go with .6875" stock if these don't work.

I agree on not being worried about breaking tie rods on these things, it's the small universal joint and tie end that are concerning. Maybe not so much with strength but with them wearing out. Looks like you might have found the solution for the tie end.
Jeffz i would like to see a pic of that! And if you have too much trouble finding a tap i know i could get ya one if need be.

Do you guys know that the Nytro has normal steering stops at the stem where our Phazers the spindle hits the a-arm to stop it?That just aint right!

Yep if you take a look at my spindles you could see the bending from the slaping in to it. Mabey glue a rubber strip around the spindle to abbsorbe the impact?

Are you sure? I was looking yesterday and it looked like the two pivot arm hit each other just before the spindle hits the a-arm. There were no marks on my arms or spindles before I had them powdercoated.

Positive.Maybe it depends on how much toeout a guy runs.I might try less and see if it will work without hitting a-arms.Good catch Jeffz!

I think my toe was set at 1/4" that last I checked. I have my tie-rods off now, so I can't confirm anything.
Lee did you see this?Would like your opinion good or bad on the geometry. Also notice how close grease zerks come to frame.Have to keep an eye on that.
