My buddys Toyota-Pro2 driven by Jeremmy McGrath. He drives the Pro4, but i'm at the womans place, so she didn't have a lot of his pictures on her computor. He and his brother build these in house, and the motors come from TRD, which are lasts years Cup technology. The Pro2 use to be a push rod Camping world Truck type, and his Pro4, which runs a 5 spd sequencial, is more like a 'Cup' motor. I don't think he runs FI anymore because he was mopping up with his 700hp, vs their Pro Power 900 hp engines, lol. It's pretty high tech and changes a lot. It's his job and he doesn't let a lot of info out. He can't touch his motors from what i understand. The TRD boys are at the races and they put them on a computor to see what's going on, and if it needs to be changed for some reason, no repairing, change it out!FrostyNutz said:^^^ Awesome ! I'd love to hear some stories about his Toyota adventures.
Johnny Greaves motorsports.com Check it out. He has a cool 'test vid' and some other short, cool videos.
Sorry for the novel, but i have an uncontrollable pashion for short course racing! Mike.
PS. The Pro2 seat may still be open for next season? Jeremmys contract ran out. Want me to throw your hat in the ringer?lol.

Hell yeah !! That would be a dream come true
I'm going to check out the site right now ,, thanks for the link ! It must be really cool to have that kinda new tech right on your doorstep. I would LOVE to walk through the truck with him and listen to what the TRD techs had to say. Your very lucky !

I've been a big fan of Ohlins for a very long time ! I went all out and installed a full set on my Phazer 20yrs ago. I paid a bloody fortune for them back then ,, but they were worth every cent !!
Funny you should post today. I'm about to buy a set of fronts part# YA655 . I can get them for 625CDN shipped . Can you beat that price ?
You might find these interesting ? Made for my MKIV Supra and extremely rare
Can you provide parts and service for them ?

Sweet! Where did you get those?

They are straight from Yamaha Part# SMA-8HG58-MT . Make sure you have a good rivet gun and a 3/16 drill bit. They are super stiff but very light . Fit great too !

I hear ya Turk ! I was going to give the stockers at least 1K km's before I installed the Ohlins. No snow and too much time on my hands pushed up the schedule. I got them for 600 bucks shipped so I had to jump on that deal. I'm sure the stockers are a great shock when they are new but it's hard to beat Ohlins for the long run . Thanks for posting your reviews ,,it's all that's keeping me going lol.
It's been snowing heavy all day,,,,,, it won't be long now

We need some updates on this post. like how did the 1.5" Camoplast Crossover track work out? Do you wish you put the 1.75 track on instead?
Anyone else have any updates?
Thanks

Good timing for an update !
The track is outstanding !! We have had MAJOR snow this year and this thing just keeps on moving through it . My only complaint is that when your not hard on the throttle , the snow comes up over the hood and windshield right into your face . No deflection at all so it's tough to see in 4ft of fresh snow lol . I did have to add Ulmer's stage two clutch kit to get my rpms up to 10500 . Worked out great !
Ohlins get two thumbs way up !! I can hit trail junk and bumps as big as vw's and the front stays planted without the hard hits through the bars.
Semi agressive snow trackers completely eliminated the darting . However, they do scrub off some top end speed .
Lost one handwarmer which was covered by warranty.
Fouled one plug at first startup this year ... bitch to replace !!
SO ,, now for the fun stuff . This past weekend I was extra hard on the sled and did some damage . Both front limiter straps snapped and both rear shock rods ( relay rods ) bent like bomerangs . One completely snapped off before I made it home . Was a fun weekend but not so much for the sled
