I think I torqued mine to 8 ft.lbs? Because 80-100 inch pounds sounds about right. No issues, and we rip and chew a lot...sometimes on very little snow.
You hit a rock. I have a collection of ski doo idlers from the very same thing..and have seen them break right in front of me if the wheel takes a direct rock shot. It probably broke the wheel right off the bearing.

Cool. Thanks for all the help. I'll have to stop by my pathetic New Jersey Yamaha dealer and see if he's got any of them bogey's in stock. I may buy a couple because they look to be the same wheels that are on my 2001 SXr 700.
And I'll retorque the studs this weekend. After all, It's going to be 55 deg on Saturday.

I have been to there newer location just to look around a bit nice place. I deal with Action Yamaha in Edison. Thats where My friends and myself started this life changing sport we call snowmobileing ! The owner loves sledding.

I'll have to try Action Yamaha - I know some of my motorcycle friends like that place (didn't know they were "sled friendly"). Plus I'm doing a project in Highland Park, so Edison is right next door.
Thanks,
