Mystery Service Bulletin

Well i have received a service bulletin from Yamaha for my 05 Vector but no one at the dealer knew what it was because the service manager wasn't in. I already got the clutch fix done and I am thinking it's probably the jackshaft or CDI replacement. Anyone else get one lately????

Yeah it came from the dealer..All it says is we are writing to inform you that Yamaha has issued a service bulletin, the part that scares me is the part that says our service dept. may perform the service at no charge to you

well let us know how you make out. I think its the good dealers sending letters to there buyers. I know most are not and Yamaha does not send anything

Yeah I haven't had any complaints about my dealer. You'd think yamaha would send them.

The CDI repair is much more common than the jackshaft, so I'll bet that's it.

Well come to find out that this was the service bulletin for the clutch rattle that they already fixed! Let's hope the CDI box holds up past 2500 miles..No TORS issues as of yet.

just took mine in they did the clutch ,cdi & jackshaft all for free.

Had my clutch done over the Summer, I took it off and dropped it at the dealer. Now I'm told my sled is on the list for both CDI and Jackshaft recalls. 2700 miles with no problems... maybe I should just ride it and take a chance.
