Need a Replacement Track Recommendation for 07 Apex

If you are going to run studs and are on hard packed most of the time, I would go with the same 1 ply track that DOO is using on there new XP? It is supposed to be a very light and durable track. I would be buying that if it was me.

Try putting studs in that track and see what happens. :ORC A single layer track might last one season with most guys.

Well, the new 800R is 150+ hp. Do you think every new DOO is going to blow the track off. Doo knows these guys are going to stud. Woodies has just made a wider bottom plate and backer that is larger to help reduce a pull through. If you don't believe me call Woodies yourself. Camoplast is offereing this new track next year. Do your homework.... From what I hear, it is a very dependable track.

yeah right...that's what they said about the ripsaw...and they arent durable..

I don't remember the beaver tail being easy to stud for some reason. BRP did the same homework on that sled. :o| Besides, bigger stud plates and bases leed to more weight and bigger pull through holes. ;)!

I have ran preditor 6 pitches, preferr the 1-1/4 w/studs. Enough lug for powder and not too much to stud it without major mods.

I sure like the 1-1/4 w/studs just incase of icey trails.

IMO best of both worlds!

For track choice I agree best of both worlds.

I had No problem studding my 03 REV 800. 144 1.175 Woody's Megabytes. Buy what you want, but if you want fast top end speed and good trail, I would look into that new track, because I bet all makers will be going to that soon. If they can shave off 4 lbs off the weight of a track, it contributes to alot faster top end performance, which all OEM's look to achieve in the Trail performance line.

MY OPINION, stick with the ripsaw 1.25 its the best all round track , switch to a artic cat ripsaw it will be a quiet track :jump:
