Try the storm 150 its a 2 ply and add the igrips from Patric Lemay ,track is amazingYeah i did think about the durability of that Storm Track too, I just liked the idea of the Ice Storm so I didn't need to add regular studs. With the 1.5" Ripsaw I would imagine we would need pretty long studs no? Good idea though I will look into that.
Do you think a 1.5" track will give quicker acceleration due to traction or no?
I agree seems like we want the same things. I think given that the Cats came with 24/50 gearing I'm going to give it a try, I would imagine once you're already going traction won't be too bad especially with bigger lug track.

Is the 2ply that much better? Cuz I tell ya my willingness to put on those igrips is pretty non existant vs buying them pre-installed in the 1ply lolTry the storm 150 its a 2 ply and add the igrips from Patric Lemay ,track is amazing

Ok so if the 1 Ply no good and the 2 ply is no good the no Storm for me! I need a track I don't need to worry about when on a tour in the middle of nowhere.

You might want to try the c38? I’m gonna use the T32 1.25” track, it looks much more durable than a lot of tracks out there, 2 ply construction.
The skidoo guys like them, but there was one guy on here who said his didn’t hold up? Just one guy, said it was a great track tho. I’m holding out mine lasts for a few years. The lugs are thick and the clips are very thick!

That C38 looks good! I will look into that. For sure a fully clipped track with no quiet pads would be amazing! Spent like $180(CDN) on idler wheels to replace the 6 outers that got chewed up by the studs this past season, that adds up!
I ordered the 24/50 gears and chain last night with the RR upper shaft, I got a flasher now as well and I will try and pickup a stock mod muffler. Final decision will be track and suspension.

Blew my camoplast off this year and it seemed in good condition?
I’m going off the overall number of people who run them. Most say they hold up well. I have already bought one so I’m all in,
gonna try it out.

Hi JayM,I'm looking for every bit of extra corner to corner acceleration as I can get.
Making HP is easy on these sleds, but doing it in combination with weight savings is the best way to go. Here's just a few examples:
Nextech SL3 Carbon Suspension offers a huge weight savings over stock:

and Patrick Custom Carbon has these lightweight pieces:
CF Tunnel (which prevents slush, snow, and ice which is really heavy from sticking to the tunnel.) (As its 5x stronger, it also prevents tunnel bowing and cracking which sometimes happens when you add a fuel caddy or other weight to the rear. See this thread: LINK , post #10, and this bowing/cracking

You can also get CF panels, hood, etc...

My sleds light enough and fast enough, carbon fiber side panels are not that light for the money,
