my sled was working okay a little rough idle and clutch rattle,so I got the great idea to sync the carbs with a homemade sync tool that I found on here. everything seemed to go okay but now it runs fine slow speeds and short hits of throttle and around 3/4 to full throttle seems good but between 1/4 and 1/2 it feels like it's running out of gas?????please help closes dealer is 3 hours

Where is that clean your carbs emoticon? Can anyone here make one please. That said now clean your carbs especially the pilots but they all need to be spotless. While your at it change your float bowl screws to allen head you can order them from Sledtoyz at this very site.

yes clean them.

clean again same thing!!!!?that three times, but this time I turned the mixture screws out 1/4 turn to 2 1/4and it seems a little better but I didn't move them the when problem started

Ok did you get the power jets and the main jets mixed up when you installed the jets back in? What year of sled is this? Old gas new gas?

It's a 2005 ,jets are correct I think I'm sync ing the carbs right because it idles good I used the sync tool on here that is clear line with trans fluid .all i done was took carbs off check screws were 2 turns they were put them back on synced them and this is what happen. so i don't know if it's something I done or just happen the same time. could it be a weak fuel pump?,or weak fire?

Have you tried new plugs? Have you checked for arcing of the coils best seen at night in the dark with engine running. Are sure your carbs and air box are seated correctly if not you could be gettng a lean bog happening. Check those out and report back. Do you have a buddy with the same sled so you dont have to buy new plugs. Would not hurt to have spares on hand anyhow.

Sled Dog, this is for you

the only thing I can think of is the coils, not the arcing, but the temp of the spark. Pull each seperatley, insert screw driver in the end of the wire, and ground it to a metal object with a quarter inch gap. Start. Make sure fire is blue. Check each coil.

Are you positive you put the vacuum lines back correctly? The reason I ask is this vacuum pulse is what make the fuel pump pump fuel if they are not right then it will not pump the fuel likes it supposed too. Check for a cracked vacuum line.
