Need to get a replacement key FAST!

went to new brunswick last weekend left my key in the hotel room got them to mail it to me wont be here till monday but im supposed to go sledding agian 2 morrow how to i start my 05 rage with no key

the dealer should be able to look it up via vin number. if not the original selling dealer (i dont know if you bought it used or not) is suppose to have it on file.

Yes..the dealer should be able to supply the key by vin number...

btw...get two or three!!!!

Have you tried other sled or ATV keys? You never know! I just bought a Attak from a friend and its the same key as my Vecter! Same # on the key too!

My 1998 and 2002 Yamaha Warrior ATV's would both start with either key.

i believe you can detach teh key assemlby from teh sled and put another one in its place if you have the key and it will start.

Just get your dealer to LEND you a complete ignition w/key (plug in-plug out) of a stock sled either in for service or a freind that isn't riding with the same type of sled and GO!

For the spare key I keep mine in my JACKET in the inner pocket...you always ride with your JACKET so its the best place to keep it.

That's a great idea! I've often thought that I would be so screwed if I happened to lose my key while in a restaurant or drop it in the snow and couldn't find it again. Not too many other ways to start your sled without a key!

I to keep it my jacket pocket, but I use a large safety pin to pin it to jacket pocket so it will not come out when i take stuff out.

Hide a spare key under the hood.Find a wiring harness and
wrap with black electrical tape and it looks like the tape is supposed to be there.
Nobody knows where it is but you.

Just need to have them cut to same #.

if it was a polaris it would be easly theres only 5 differnt keys yamahas on the other hand alot more. maybe hundreds i know my 97 xtc key is 100 or so numbers off of my phazer key. not saying theres all thoes numbers in between but i know theres atleast 4 cause me or my brother has had numbers between thoes 2
