'08 APEX LTX "OEM" cooler
I installed it last weekend and now I'm wondering if I should extend the tunnel protectors over the cooler, I'm not studded and don't intend too, running stock track.
I,ve read before that un-studded track you don't need the protection?
thanks

Rear Heat Exchanger
I have a 2005 Warrior and installed a rear heat exchanger last year. I put 1300 miles last season with no issues/problems at all. I am also not studded and don't intend to. You should be fine.........

If you are NOT studded, you do NOT need to run tunnel protectors. In fact, if you are really sure that you won't be adding studs, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you remove ALL of the tunnel protectors (except for the ones welded to the front heat exchanger). Removing the tunnel protectors will significantly reduce the weight that you ride around with, particularly due to ICE. With the tunnel protectors removed, you will no longer have ANY ice buildup in the tunnel.
Note: as long as you don't wreck them, they can always be reinstalled later should you wish it.
