ROV is plug and play and is really easy to install. I have read posts on SW about a bad tether switch casuing the sled to bog around 7900 RPM. It was a tether from the company that OFT worked with to build their ROV & tether. Just an FYI and something to keep in mind if you notice anything funny after the install. The other company stepped up and made things right in the end after it was figured out what the issue was.
Relocator is also pretty easy and straight forward. make sure bearing surfaces are clean or it will cause the steering to bind when you tighten the mounts up. Steering effort should be the same after the install of the relocator. if it isnt something is mis-aligned. Just follow the straight forward instructions and you will no have any problems

i was in your same shoes about a year ago , only my sled was a 2010 with about 150 miles on it , i'd ride on the weekends and do mods during the week ,
read as much info on here as you can , the FAQ section is good , as for the mods , in truth they all pretty easy , any troubles ever and these guys on here are willing to help you and talk you through it , i got get service from scott at OFT and also people at Skinz ,
yet i'd say 90% time it was members on here who knew what info i needed, looking back it was allot of work but i'm now pretty close to being done and i love my sled , i would do it again before ever buying one of them smokey 2 strokes , sooner put my money now into it and just keep making it better
what i did was decide on the mods and do the ones first that will protect your sled and then you
oil change and use the short correct filter , you'll see when you change it , long one will hit the pan
1 rov -easy
2 kill switch -easy
3 belly pan or bottom plate , i still use and have on mine a double float plate , - easy
4 pull all the foam and add pet screen to keep out snow , plus it lets your sled run cooler
then it's just what you'd like to have next
i went with skinz running boards - install was simple but allot of work , have the right tools and it's a breeze
hid lights
plugs , went with the 10's
skinz seat
new front fox evol shocks
new 39 inch A-arms '' decided to go with skinz again
always something but take you time and enjoy it , will add up in money , but you'll have a good working sled that wont leave you stranded and you won't be putting money into 2 stroke oil or buying belts all the time
me i have left to do is a new skid under it and track with nice wheels , i'll do that this winter , just doing homework on whats the best way to go , someday i might , even put a turbo on it
and before you buy that pipe , check out barkers , save weight & add Hp and it's loud with a deep rumble , i do love mine

If you can unplug wires you can install a rov. It's that easy.

I'd look at a trail tank for extra fuel capacity, or the ability to carry extra fuel.
I'd get rid of the front coil over shocks. Compared to 2008 prices new and used fox floats have come down in price. If you have the cash I would certainly look at a new front end.
I'd certainly put the larger excel wheels at the top of the list. They should pay for themselves in reduced hyfax wear/purchases.
If you put your sled on it's side any amount a roll over kit should be on your list.
And of course for not a lot of money you can prefilter cover the vents and silicone the openings in the nose.
Your dealer should be able to warranty the installation of a plate in the clutch area to help combat the wet left foot situation on the 2008's.
After that if you have $$ left there are a lot of other great choices

I went with Floats.
Hated the stock shocks, could never find the right spot when laying it over.

Elka shocks hands down best shock on the market. I have the Stage 5 on mine. They swallow the moguls going up and down the trail on the mountain. Can hit the 3-4' whoops at speed with full control. Its amazing. Got rid of the float x evols that I had which were good but the elkas perform twice as great.

Everything is expensive on these sleds , but I think a person is better to try to get the best they can afford ,
I'm wanting a turbo bad , can't make my mind up on which one , biggest thing holding me back is what to do if I have troubles after install ,
My local shop has only installed a couple

I made up my mind , I'm going with push turbo low evelovation kit. Usually ever 5-6 years I buy a new one, but this time I think I'll just buy a turbo. I'm sure it,ll be like a new sled

nice ,
what made your mind to go with push turbo ,
i went and looked at the new 2013 arctic cat turbo 1100 , i like how it was set up with no gauges , just hooked into the ecu ,
can the push turbo be installed the same way , or does one need them gauges ,
been doing lots of reading on the net and other sled forums and seems them other brands do have troubles , not everyone but enough to make me worried about spending $3500 to $5000 ,
have not heard anything bad yet about the push turbo , wonder way yamaha was going with him and then switch to another turbo builder , would like to know the truth on it ,
i also like the easy install of the push turbo , wish some who have them installed could give opinions and what they think
