I have been told that Yamaha will show the public the production version of the new snow cross racer (pre production not the current racer) at an upcomming snow X race. I have been told that the sled will have Phazer roots and a 1050 CC fuel injected version of the 973 triple. The sled is said to have 130 hp and MONGO tourque.

I also heared that Mountain Performance allready has one of these sleds and is working on the supercharger kit for it as we read this.

I feel that my source is telling me the truth! We will see soon!

I was kinda getting Myself prepared for a tripple? I really want to see the specs on the thing. hopefully they have it coming in less weight than what I think its going to weigh. I personally don't want just different ergos than the vector/nytro. I want at least 50 lbs lighter than the current 120 hp class offering.

Same here! I want a 600 pounds full of gas sled from Yamaha with 120+ HP!

As one of the biggest avocates for the 750 Tripple and why it would be better than the existing 973, the 1050 is the only other engine I see Yammie using. There is no way they would try to be competitive with a 973 when they are allowed 1050. So my guess it's probably the 1050 Tripple, that is what makes a lot of sense. It would have great torque should be able to make close to 100 lbs..

Guys, see my post in the General Yamaha discussion titled "FX Nytro spotted..." - I saw what I am sure is the sled you are talking about on the trails over the weekend near Saxon.
