I will say it again! I am not impressed by a 1,100 that needs a Turbo at over 12 LB boost to beat a Apex. 12 LB boost in an Apex and you are at aprox 270 HP, 90 + more HP than the 1,100 cat. Just think if Yamaha would run a power adder? We ran my buds snow pack sled (CPR Turbo RX-1) on a SHORT 600' ice track today. We were doing some tuning and ran short of time but after a bad run and pedaling it at about 300' (pulled to the right) still radared 117. This sled has run mid 120's + in 660' with a 144" x 1.25' RipSaw and a lot of iron. Yamaha four stroke potential still un matched, in the sled world any way. Going to the world series with the big sled next weekend, should be fun to see if we can wiz with the big dog's.

Some guys here are so friggen nit-picky.
Compared to whatever new graphics and glue the other makers come out with each year to make good surface impressions, Yamaha still makes the most dependable, well built sled on the market with motors that are miles ahead.
Something new in the pipeline would be great though so that that the others can catch up again.

The other three's four strokes are not way ahead of Yami. I like the Apex styled 4 cylinder four stroke. Refine it but don't screw it up. Little more wind protection would be nice however. Handle bars higher then the windshield is a bad idea!

Any one see the snow conditions for this year? Why would you want to drop any coin on a new sled. Season is to short, look at hcs and eBay lots of new cat sleds with zero miles up for sale must be hard 13000 sled payment with no snow to ride on till next year. Whole industry should think twice a rental is looking good cause 340 miles in marginal snow for the season in feb is BS just got snow enough to plow for the first time. I don't care what sled McGrath u got in ur trailer no snow means no ride period. Oh and at 22 I love to ride more than anything else! But man makes me sick that I paid 8k and got not enough enjoyment this season to make me regret uPgrading
