Hey all, so I found a new left over 2014 LTX last month. Coming off 6 seasons on a nytro I can't wait... so far I have got a MBRP trail can, ulmer clutch kit and C&A razors. My question is should I send out rear shocks already to be revalved? I used hygear on my nytro so I would probably go with them. I'm trying to justify without actually riding it first. I've read lots of post by others that the 2014's are extremely stiff. The main upside to going to the viper was ride quality over the nytro. I considered getting hygears pro dual rate for this season and then send them out in the off season. Not sure though if the dual rate would make any improvement.

Yes I would just send out the rear shocks, it was the best mod I did to my 2014 LTX just because the 14s came so stiff. But I would recommend either Monster Performance or cannondale27 for the revalve, me personally I went with Monster performance but many people on here went with cannondale and they were very happy.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll have to check into cannondale27.

The softer rear springs make a big difference also. Lots of info about the rear skid on this site.

Oh I know there is lots of info. Pretty sure I've read through it all. It's just nice for rider feedback. It's tough making changes on something you haven't even ridden yet.

I rode mine stock for about 1000mi and still had a ball! My opinion is ride it. I have 3 day turnaround even in winter so not a big deal time wise. You wont lose ride time if planned right. Is nice to KNOW what you are getting for your $ and if you never ride it stock you wont know. The front end geometry of this sled is so good sled will feel better (except for push in loose corners) than Nytro unless you swap sleds on same trail. Then you will notice the back end is way off on Viper. Revalve take the 14 and 15 Vipers from worse than Nytro rear to better than a well tuned XRS Doo rear. Helps everything. Big bumps,Small Bumps,Transfer and Handling big time! But I always recommend riding stock first. None of these issues are enough to totally ruin a ride.

Thanks Cannondale you will get my business. If I decide to send out prior to riding should I just direct message you to get information on where to send?
Hopefully sense I ditched the stock skis and went with the C&A's it will help with the push in corners.

Lol! Yep, I've spent the past year reading all over this forum. Ha! I'll probably just send out before hand. Only issue it may take me a week or two before I get a chance to pull them off.

No worries. No rideable snow for a good month anyway.
