how do they cool the motor? just a bulkhead and tunnel?

Engine is probably a beast, (Awesome of CR to post that 37 page doc on the motor btw) but I want to know if this sled is a one-year deal; (regarding the new plastics on the srv chassis) 50th Anniversary has to be a whole new chassis built around this motor...has to be...please dear god....zzzzz

I love the tech in the new engine and clutches, but was hoping for a guage cluster that doesn't look like it is out of a timex watch from 1992, for 19k before taxes Pdi and freight Cdn.

Link from Chris Reid's blog says 40% hp increase from 1049 FX Nytro should be an honest 180-190hp.

Lol yea it's a dud. Motor is great but in a 5year old chassis that could have been designed to handle the motor better. I'm not spending $16,599 to have a turbo motor in a viper with diff bodywork. I can buy used turbo viper for about $10,000 and honestly the snorkels on hood are kinda ugly

I hate being negative...but yes to the ugly snorkels (Viper is a sexier sled) . We now have a new Yamaha that looks like an old Arctic Cat (twin-spar) I am probably not the first or last person to notice that.

I like the VK540, it has a real hood! Actually a nice looking retro machine.
