2020 Yamaha Sidewinder LTX-GT
Picked up my new 2020 SW LTX-GT last night from my dealer. Put on the short sport windshield, knee pads and handlebar bag when I got home...she is ready to roll! Dealer studded it for me so all good there. HEaded to old forge today to enjoy sled for the weekend with the new snowfall they just got. Keep you all posted and interested in learning more about the tips/tricks with these sleds.

Put on 120 easy miles on the sw yesterday for the first ride. Overall love the machine. Suspension, ride and yes power. Didnt get into it much but when I did I was impressed. Love the heated seat. The hand and thumb warmers not as effective as my 14 Apex xtx but just have to run them on warmer setting on sw....not a big deal. Only thing I was disappointed was the headlight at night. My wife was following me with her 14 vector with roc hid lights and lighting up the trail, road or lake we were on. I expected the light to be better out of the box. Does roc do hid kits for sw or other options? Maybe I just miss my hid setup myself from my 14 xtx.

Also impressed with storage on sled vs apex. Just added handlebar bag and have plenty of room between goggle bag, tunnel bag and the added handlebar bag

Overall..first impression love the sled and hope to get out free more times.

NOTHIN compares to HID's in my opinion.
NO, Roc does not make HID kit for Winder because the whole headlight assembly needs to be changed.
You'll have to look into aftermarket lights to mount up front.
Try REVZILLA to see what's out there then buy them on Amazon.

Check the aim on your headlights when you are seated on the sled. Many times they are adjusted to low. I ride Old Forge, Canada and the lake and trails around here and have no problems.

Thanks for input. No issues with lights....just got used to rocs his and how bright. I'll deal with it. Thanks!

I have the LTX LE I feel my lights are to high. Going to try and lower them a little

picked up a new 2020 stx sidewinder gt on Wednesday and have been riding that new snow we all got on Thursday. All I can say is this sled is amazing, I got rid of the venture tf, that sled had its issues...some nice.
the sidewinder has so much pickup and go..its mind boggling. Somehow a fuse burnt up for the hand warmers, it took a call to the dealer to find the fuse box, the dealership was good and walked me through the steps over the phone.
Saturday my wife and I rode all around the Rumford, Roxbury and Coos Canyon area of Maine...the sled operated so well that I could not tell I had a passenger onboard...the most amazing thing about this machine is how well it handles, its like its on rails. Another thing is how quiet it is, the power is unbelievable...I must be missing something when I read on this site that people who have Yamahas are going to Ski Doo...Ski Doo's are a decent machine and will be getting one for the wife for next season...a 600 renegade ace, but its no sidewinder for sure.
The Sidewinder could use some power steering... easy fix from what I hear..Barn of Parts sell mechanical power steering for a few hundred.
