Has anyone on this board actually tried different cams on their RX1? They seem to work well on the R1 motorcycle. I've been told you need to spin them over 11,000 RPM to make any real power and you have to get a different CDI that will allow reving to 12,000 RPM or so as the stock one will stutter around 11,200. How about it.

Peak, with the proper cams and a little head work you can get 165hp with the stock ignition!!!!!!!!!

I was told yes you can use the cams, the part numbers are the same.
Called some of the bike shops on the west coast to find out for sure.
also im running the thinner head gasket in it from the 03 r1 with no
problems.
STANDARD=0.66MM
KIT=0.55MM PN/5PW-11181-75-00
