Should stop well on ice. Interesting concept.

Comparing the tracks its obvious how dense this track is with lugs and carbide tips. The lugs also appear quite beefy.

Comparing it directly to the ripsaw II 1.25 it has a bigger lug but the lack of taper at the edge means its going to be a bit more resistant to turning on hardpack. As a 2-ply track it is definitely a step up for anyone wanting to run pre-embedded studs.

looks pretty good.

I like it for a pre-studded track. It looks like the studs stick out further than the normal Ice Ripper tracks too.

Says fully clipped, which is great. I doubt it has quiet lugs or ramps on it which isn't a big deal, but I don't see it anywhere where it says its a two ply. ICE series tracks have all been single ply in the past unless something has changed.

Wow, nice design, and I just installed a new 1.6" Ice Cobra at the beginning of the "non season" But honestly, I like the deeper 1.6" lug and I cannot complain on how well it held up (11,000 miles)

I'm having success with the Ice Storm 1.5" and like biff, the added lug height really made a difference over the 1.25" Ripsaw II was previously running. However, that's on an Apex and not a Sidewinder. If you want to run a taller lug and have studs on a Sidewinder, you are either looking at having longer than ideal studs or you go with a pre-studded track that are only single ply. With the Ice Arrowhead, you get the taller lug, albeit not much, and a 2-ply pre-studded track. Unless weight was a factor vs traction and knowing you're not gaining much in lug height, I would still opt for 1.25" track and traditional studs. If Camso offered a 1.5" version of this track (ie. 2-ply and thicker lugs and such), that could change.

its 2 ply, I emailed Camso about it this afternoon.

They should specify that in their specifications for all to see....

I'd certainly give one a try if I didn't stud aggressively. I like the looks of it better than the IceRipper. Love the fact that the studs stick up higher. Not going to be a drag race track, but going to provide good safety traction for the average trail rider. Just wont hook up a 270-300 HP machine if one is looking for that kind of aggressive type performance, but certainly better than screw in studs, IceRipper track or a bare track for certain.

Hopefully the lugs are not weak and going to be ripping out prematurely. Be a great trail speed track without the weight of normal studs and backers robbing the big speeds. @Fleecer, you seeing this?

Looks like a promising track for sure!

The way the studs attach is also significantly different than any other pre-studded (or screw in stud) track, and the fact that they are angled should give even more traction. Keep in mind that this track is a higher lug pitch so there are more paddles and more paddle surface than any of the 1.6 tracks.

Higher pitch? Yes, but higher than the Ice Storm which is what I was comparing it too, then no. Although the Ice Cobra 1.6 does come in a 2.52 pitch, it is also offered in 2.86 so again same as this one.
