Hi, I have a new 07 grizzly 660 with 10 hrs on it. When Im going up hills like on logging roads where there is a little more load on the engine It sounds like a light ringing or rattling noise from the engine or the engine area. Im using good brand name mid grade gas so I didnt think it was pinging and there is no loss of power. It says to adjust valves at 20 hrs so I wouldnt think that is it. Is this noise normal when pulling long hills on roads. Other than that everything has worked perfectly on it and it runs perfect. Any info will help, Thank You

Welcome to the forum. I have an 06 Grizzly that is the same machine as your 660. I doubt that anything is wrong with it mine is kind of noisy too.

I am sure someone else will chime in.

Hey guys, Thanks for the replys, Im not sure if it is the clutches I will listen closer tomorrow when I go riding. I think its just slightly noisier when under a load. I talked to the yamaha dealership I bought it from and they said they have not had any problems with 660 engines but they will check it out if I want but like I said it runs perfectly so im not really concerned, just thought I would get some input from you guys. Thanks again and awesome website!!!!! Love my grizzly so far, awesome machine. Makes short work of the north oregon coastal mountains I use it in. Cant wait for the snow!!!
