Viper_Dave, do you go to the Yamaha in Darien? I was going to go there and try to get some advise and try to pick some brains if they will give anything up.

I'll occasionally pick up small parts there, but my go to dealer is Port Yamaha. Very knowledgable and great prices. Yes, if you have to drive there, you'll have to make the trip worthwhile. BUT, they are right of I43 on my way to and from the UP.not had much luck with the guys in Darien and getting answers. You'll have MUCH better luck right here on TY !

Good to know. I'll save the trip for Port then.

Also you can use the search box upper right using key words like riser, seat, wrp, airwave, tunner skis, radiator, bearing, etc. You cant imagine how many old posts you will find that way. thousands. at one time the rx1 was the hot topic here and all the tech heads here had awsome ideas and builds. there just sitting there waiting for people like you to search them out. unlimited info. you will never get more than a few minutes time from a dealer about an older machine. here its unlimited.

I highly recommend the Soft Start Spring from Barn Of Parts. So instead of taking off like a rocket the sled will now take off nice and smooth. I bought mine last year and will never go back to the stock clutching. Sorry guys...old man here, lol.
Thanks. Has anybody on here used yamahapartshouse.com? Also, anybody on here from around Rockford? I would love to meet up with someone and talk about this thing.

I use these guys for OEM stuff:

Speaking of servicing it...any suggestions on oil brand? Should I get the Yamaha kit? Planning on doing that here soon. Also what are these black things in the picture?
