i was flipping through the new motovan snow catalogue and i see that hindle now builds a full exhaust system for the nytro, the only problem i see if that it bolts onto the engine with no flex pipe ...... :o| has any one seen one of these new systems or have one on their machine??

look at the Dyno sheets that's all you have to do. Then call Ulmer and buy the Excel system!!!

Hindle

WOW he we go again. I have been looking at getting the hindle system also. One of the reasons is because of the slip on mounting that gets rid of the flex pipes that are always breaking(Lots of posts on this issue). As for the hp loss at a lower rpm it does not bother me as I do not see a problem with it because I tune my sled to WOT not part throttle.

Yukon Yamaha...the system is excellent, makes good power but if you want to take full advantage of it you need to do airbox mods ( or filters ) and fuel mods ( RB3 or PC3 or 5 ) It made 12.9hp over stock at 8900rpm...The fit n finish is second to none and despite what dirkdiggler says..the flex joint/donut system is NOT required..I had zero issues with the system.

dirkdiggler will also point out that it loses HP down low, he'll also point out that it doesn't work with the stock muffler...and he's right..BUT it wasn't designed to work with it...Hindle built the system to be run with is muffler.

Look for an upcoming thread where Hurricane Performance stage tunes this system with the airbox mod/RB3 tune and gains back the loses down low.

Member 00 NUKE bought the system last season and with the airbox mod and no fuel made 11hp over stock with NO loses down low...he is happy with the system from what he told me....his sled was dynoed at Straightline Performance.

If you have any questions regarding the system feel free to pm me!

Ryan we need to talk about this.... I don't feel this is the way I would go about it........

This is what I posted last year

this is my post from last March. I don't under stand how anyone could say they don't care that they lost 12HP or in the case of the header into the stock cans loss of 20HP. Do you understand these losses represent 10 and 20 %. Why would anyone be ok with losing that kind of power when the entire purpose of going to a after market system is to gain power?

I was just on Dyno Tech and I have some Major concerns with the Hindle Full Exhaust system and the Hindle header into the stock can. Yes it shows great top end power but there is a huge loss of power on the bottom and Mid range.

The Full system is represented by the green line on the graph. This problem starts at 6200 RPM's and it a 12 HP loss. The stocker makes 110.5 Hp at 6200 and the Full system Hindle makes 98.3HP at 6200. Now jump to 7100 and the stocker makes 127.3 at 7100 and the hindle makes 118.5hp at 7100.

The power loss on the Hindle Header into the stock can is even worse. It is represented by the red line on the graph. At 7300 the stocker makes 129.9 HP the Hindle into the stock can system makes 111.9. That is almost a 20HP loss. This is a massive problem

One of the things that makes the Nytro Great in my opinion is the low end grunt. This is a huge issue in my book.

Take a look at this graph the power loss on the bottom is very noticeable.

Dirk...why do you constantly point out losses or the Hindle header into the stock muffler? The system was NOT designed to run that way, I've said it, Lee Hindle has said it, I have explained this to you several times....it was designed to run as a complete system. It has also been said the the system needs supporting mods like air filters or an airbox mod and fuel mapping to get those low end losses back...and they can be made up...this has been discussed at great length.

Shadow do you know if that chart is just a stock sled with no fuel controller or is that it with the controller?

I'd like to see a chart with K&N intake and a fuel controller! ;)!

Revster...it was my sled and it had the RB3 on it but it was run unplugged...so fuel was stock. The funny thing is...Jim said the indle header into the stock muffler was very rich and if he had of caught it earlier he could of leaned it out with one of his " in stock power commander " or with the RB3 that was on my sled.....but he didn't have any PCs in stock that day and he didn't attempt to lean it out with the RB3...go figure. I will be stage tuning in a few weeks so we will see what happens then. It will be done by Dave at Hurricane...I know people like dirkdiggler will be all over this,,,but the way I see it...if my sled baselines with 1-2 hp of what it did at Dyntotech, makes 149-150hp with just the exhaust and then makes up most of the low and mid...it should put this crap to bed. JMHO.

wow, so the header has no cracked or anything? i kinda figured without the ability to flex and have some movement it would start to crack.... as for the fit and finish i have no doubts that it is top notch
