It does have some flex with the slip fit...I'm pretty sure it has as much flex as the stock system...the stock system is clamped down to the tunnel which in my mind would eliminate flex...the Hindle system kinda floats, but is rubber mounted at the muffler. There is NO chance of blow by either.

shaddow44 said:Dirk...why do you constantly point out losses or the Hindle header into the stock muffler? The system was NOT designed to run that way, I've said it, Lee Hindle has said it, I have explained this to you several times....it was designed to run as a complete system. It has also been said the the system needs supporting mods like air filters or an airbox mod and fuel mapping to get those low end losses back...and they can be made up...this has been discussed at great length.
I reposted what I posted from march. The post points out a 12 hp loss over stock on the full system as well. Why do constaly defend a product that losses power? You saying it needs filters and a fuel programmer to make up power losses doesn't make it so. That should have been proven at dynotech!!!!!

Maybe so sport, but then I would have nothing to do this season! I support this product because it's very well built, eliminates the problimatic flex joint/donut system, it's made in my hometown and country...and as far as I'm concerned from being able to test it..it worked well!

shaddow44 said:Look for an upcoming thread where Hurricane Performance stage tunes this system with the airbox mod/RB3 tune and gains back the loses down low.
If you have any questions regarding the system feel free to pm me!
Shaddow, Does Hurricane have a track dyno?
I think I need to find someone with that option.
Cheers

What the hell are you talking about??? You keep posting gibberish. It's laughable really!!!
Any sled with a better power bottom to top is going to walk a sled with no power down low and 5 to 10 more on top.
I owned a Pro stock 700 for the last three years. It's getting a 1000 put in it right now. I think I know what I'm talking about.

The chart you posted shows a increase in power from 7800 to 8900 rpm ,that is a wide power band to clutch to . When I raced 2 stroke sleds we had a 200 to 400 rpm power band to clutch to . How far down the track does it take for your sled to be at 7800 rpm's Dirk

Did you build your 1000 for low end power ? What is the power band you clutch to Dirk ?

Let's start with this statement what makes the nytro great? Low end grunt. The power loss on the hindle starts at the bottom and goes to 7800. The sled running the hindle is going to drop a good number of sled lengths right off the bat because of the power difference down low. It's a mathmatical certainty. You keep babbling about you clutch for peak power. Acctully you clutch for the whole rpm range. The slef that makes the most power throughout the full rpm range is the better setup.
If you don't have low end power and grunt what's going to move you?????

I ran excell header from Ulmer's last season and wasn't happy with what I seen this summer, The header was all cracked on almost every weld. And one of the pipes going into the collector was cracked all the way around. So why you deffending this JUNK? I would buy Hindle exhaust before spenting money on excell again. Excell DOES NOT live up to the hype from what I've seen. 1 season on a header and it's all busted up is uncalled for in my book.

Well then dirk...why don't you bring your Nytro to my lake and race me? ...we'll make it a TY Grudge Race!
As for proving those claims on the Dyno.....I already said it will be stage tuned to prove that most of the loss can be gained back. I hate to point out that the Excell also loses some HP down low....admittedly not as much as the Hindle..but it does lose around 4hp....but it also does not make as much as Hindles does up top.
