New product available for your boosted sleds or nitrous sleds!

Available for 2006 to 2014 Apex models, 2008 to 2014 FX Nytro models, 2014 Yamaha SR Viper models!

The Ulmer Racing programmable ignition box is a piggyback unit that allows you to control the ignition timing of your snowmobile's engine. The ignition box uses direct coil driver technology and allows a high degree of timing adjustment.

Features include:
•PC programmable ignition maps
•+/- 20 degree timing range
•Individual cylinder timing
•Nitrous input timing adjustments
•Timing can be adjusted based on boost or temperature inputs
•Built in launch limiter
•Pit lane limiter

Basically what this will allow you to do is adjust your ignition timing without having to buy a fuel controller as well (you can run stock fueling or if you are running a MC Xpress, MPI, Push, Full Power Performance or any other boosted kit fuel programmer) you can maintain your current fuel controller.

This will be available in 2 different kit forms.

Option 1: Timing adjustment based only off of engine RPM & throttle position.
Cost: $359.99

Option 2: Timing based off of engine RPM & throttle position, engine RPM & boost pressure, or based off of intake temp.
Cost: $449.95

You can also add a map switch which will allow you to switch between two different timing maps for $35.

The kit installs with direct plug-in connectors (no splicing of wires necessary).

That Pit lane limiter, how does that work? Is it for drag-racing? :)

A pit lane limiter limits the maximum speed of the vehicle. So you can engage it when driving around before and after a (drag)race.

I have no idea how it works on this box tho.

Having two timing maps would be primarilly for low/high boost or low/high octane fuel switching. You'd primarilly use it as a failsafe whereas your main map would be the one you'd run 99% of the time, and the other you'd likey want to tune with more spark retard than you normally want. You'd be able to use that for situations like bad/lower octane fuel (in a pinch), or if your boost temp or coolant temp gets too high.

Can this be used together with MSD Launch Master 4350, or is the built in launch limiter as good as the MSD ?
