Peter its time to design or retro a handlebar warmer to melt that pesky ice on the subframe, for outside or in trailer parking. Or how about running coolant like a tunnel cooler inside your plate ?? it would be worth the weight savings in snow buildup especially with plastic units but otherwise de ice that area on the trail back out so its gone by the time the sled is on the deck. My ''VE'' tunnel has the coolant thru the running boards and that is great.
I will get Harvey to order me a long plate, regardless, whether you have the new invention ready next week or not...haha
I like the way it stiffens the front clip when bolted there and I am thinking about a polished up plate too, before install.

Are you seeing ice buildup even with the Roest skid plate?

Does the ice manage to "push" the skid plate down like on the Yamaha plate? I guess not, but want to be sure before i order on myself.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Mine did, but only a small amount. As long as you clean it out before you leave it for the night you should be ok.
