Hi All,

First off, Id like to introduce myself to TY. Just picked up an 07 Phazer GT with 400 miles. Im a veteran on the old 2 smokes, but this new 4 stroke makes me a fresh rookie to Yamaha and TY.

I have all the update papers that were completed at the dealership with a few service bulletins, but other than that, what should I do as I am the new owner?

Now that Im the new proud owner, is there anything I should be aware of? Change Oil? First Service? etc.

Sled is completely stock and looks/runs cherry.

Any and all input is welcome! Thanks!

Welcome to the Phazer forum 550ss, hope yer sled pleases you! If it doesn't you will find everything you need to know here...great site!

Congrats on the new sled/welcome.

If you bought it privately I would start with an oil/filter change.

Welcome to TY you will be asked to put your loaction in your profile site requirement. just a heads up

Enjoy the phazer there fun

where are you in ohio? i am in the warren area just move here and looking for places to ride.

congrats on the new toy.

i'd do oil change, check if it has a radiator fan (not too big of a deal, can always add one), a must is low snow wheel up front on the bend. these skids like to eat slides/hyfax in this area.

otherwise, like stated, search here to find out what has been done/can be done to these sleds.

hiu 550 welcome if you find phazer extremely tippy the guys on this site have showed me by placing both spacers on ski wherew it attaches to ski leg on inside it pushes ski out widening stance in the manual it also mentions about ski stance adjustment. Anything else the guys here seem very willing to help good luck.

Congrats on the sled. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Pay attention and write them down if you have to, we'll get ya rockin! Heck, they didn't yell at me for all 200+ of my questions, yet!
Another question, for anybody, why does a guy have to show his location? I have no problem with it, just sounds not important.

So it easier to hunt you down :tg: I really dont know maybe so when you sell something your location is established or if someone is near you they can just come over and help you?

I think the idea is to help members help members. For example if i was having trouble putting my skid back together and someone saw i lived in the same area they could stop by and help out then go sledding.

Thanks for the input guys...Location added! Reason makes perfect sense to me! Help is always good as a newbie to a new machine!

Ill keep everybody updated on the progress of the sled, when I decide to take the plunge and buy some parts!

Cheers!

I dont know the answer but I VERY much prefer to see where everyone is from. Very cool to me.

Same here, always looking to hook up with people in the general area for a ride ;)!

The Skidoo trio gets boring after riding with them for years.
