Is that thing ugly or what!!!! who the heck is gonna buy that it looks was too tippy and high for tradiational trail riding . Something only a ditch banging 20 year old would love and my prediction is it won't have enough power for those guys. My wife was thinking of updating out of her old Vmax style Phazer to a nice light new 4 stroke . but that thing ? she'd go half a mile and be frozen and want to go home. Why couldn't they put that motor in a 3/4 scale vector? that's what people really want . i mean you can only ditch bang in what one or two states anyhow . And how many sleds are sold in those couple states compared to everywhere else.?

My guess is they just wanted to be able to say , "Se you can make a4strk as light as a 2strk" , and have something they can win at X games and snocross with on a factory level.

The Rev started it,we have now come full circle back to the engine on the tunnel thing of the 1960'S .

Cut that thing off at the gas tank and build a traditional , but light front end and then you'd really have something.

My prediction very poor sales and dropped in a couple years. :o|

I'm excited, this is exactly what I wanted to get for my wife, then I can take it on spring rides. Hope it doesn't sound like the Briggs and Straton Polaris 4-stroke. My lawn-mower makes better music than that sled.

SRVfan-- I had the same impression you had. Check the GT version on the web site. It has a windsheild. I even went so far as to see the difference between Phazer and Phazer GT since there is a $700 difference. Looks like windsheild and headlight are integrated piece. As long as it is warm then it should sell to entry level although I'm not sure that is an entry level price. Think they missed with the price.

I would love to own a Phazer MTN Lite for farting around on...IMHO I think unless all you do are big quebec style trails, u'll love this sled no matter what ya currently ride

Yeah I think that Phazer Mtn might be a pretty fun boondocker but it's definitley not going to be the primary sled for most. As much as I was waiting to see the new ones, looks like the 05 is still going to be in the stable another year.

I have to admit, when I saw the photo of the Mountain Lite I liked it. 25 more hp than the Phazer 500 too. Maybe after another 18,000 miles on my Vector...

I am definatly interested in the phazer mountain light ... I like my 136 viper, but would love something lighter!

At a 'claimed' 489 dry, don't think it's much lighter than your Viper and a whole lot less hp driving it.

Close Yamaha, but no cigar. How about the same sled, 60 more hp, 155" track, and max about $8199 in price!

This thing is so ugly that if I put my wife on it she would divorce me. Planning to upgrade her sled this year. Rider forward, 4 stroke, light weight, but it's tooo uggly
My wife looked at the picture and called it "Jiminy Cricket".

I wasn't sure if that was a good sign or not but I'm trying not to take a test ride out of fear that I'll have to have one.

It is time to get my daughter a new sled, she is 19. I showed her the picture of the phazer, she said it looked creepy. I am still going to get her one. It is going to be one bad #*$&@ entry level sled.

Looks take a bit, but after awhile of looking at the pics I think it looks awesome! Then after watching the video clip of it, it looks very nimble. I just want to go jumping with it. The thing is I am a big horsepower guy to. If only I had extra money laying around!

TMS, you said the Mountain has 25 more HP than the other Phazers, where did you find that? As far as I know, the whole Phazer line has the same HP. Let me know.
