So this year Yamaha has a New RED Solid State Relay….
Which Stock (mechanical magnet type) Relays does it replace in a 2013 Nytro?
New for 2014 is a new solid state relay (old relays were mechanical - moving parts) - the new solid state relay has no internal moving parts so sticking when cold shouldn't be a problem. The part number on this new relay is 8GN-81950-00-00 and it can be identified by its red casing. The new relay has the holder part built into it

Far as I know it's for the fuel pump. It's says to only use this relay for the fuel pump, it is not interchangeable apparently.

I replaced the fuel pump, load control and fan relays with the new solid state relay. They are interchangeable for all year FX Nytro's. So far there is not a SSR replacement for the high/low beam.
New SSR part #8GN-81950-00-00

Hey grizz
I chuckled at your post. I was at the dealer picking one up 2 days ago, as I figure I am due to have the fuel pump relay go on the fritz as my fan relay and starter relay already have.
When I was at the dealer I asked about interchanging the new red one for the others and he told me - no.
It looks identical to the existing relays. What do you suppose those clowns are up to?
