Hello, all. First I must say this site is filled with a tone of great info. I made the leap and Iam now riding a modern sled (used to ride old 73 cats). WOW I've been missing out all these years. ;)!

Here's my first question......Over the weekend I had to do a track adjustment (too loose). Anybody know how many miles it takes to get the track to find its sweet spot and stop "breaking in".

i would contact a dealer or drop in on the rx forum, but i believe my dealer said 200 miles, then just keep checkin it once in a while, monthly. congrats on teh new sled...u'll fall in love with it

I adjusted mine at 200, 600 and 1000 miles.

Appears to be stable now.

Thanks guys.....I'm really looking foward getting some riding time in this weekend....we are supposed to get some snow here in Northeast Ohio....

Don't forget to give your Hyfax a breakin of at least 5 hot/cold cycles. Hit a road at WOT for a short bit and then dip it into some powder to cool it off. It hardens the hyfax and will reduce wear.

I adjusted mine at 600 miles and then it was loose again at 1,200 so just keep an eye on it..

ErickL I hope you get to the U.P. to ride or the lowwer when theres snow...dont think there are too many trails by you ..are there?

Rage, No, theres not many trails out in my neck of the woods. But I live out in the open country, so places to ride are all over the place. Its 60F today, but the snows coming tomorrow and in to the weekend... ;)!

Get that Vector up to northern Mich on some trails with base and good hard pack groomed trails and you will love it!

Rage...got some seat time in yesterday evening....WOW, this new vector is AMAZING. We have 40+acers of land here in Ohio. I couldn't believe how well the suspension soaked up the bumps, and ruts. ;)!

:yam:
