'HI' to all of you. I didn't think I would ever buy a 4-stroke. But Im buying a 05 RX-1. Looking forward to talking with all of you. I may ask some dumb questions because I never paid much attention to RX-1's. Coming off a CPR piped VIPER. I know the RX-1 isn't as fast but JEFF at CPR said with a good clutch set up it will be close. I still cant believe I went 4-stroke...Gary.

Welcome. I too will be new the RX-1 fraternity next Winter, but it's something I have been not so patiently waiting to do since the '03's came out. They finally got it close enough to perfect that I ordered a Candy Apple Red ER for next season!!

First off welcome on board.
I'm sure there are quite a few on this site that will beg to differ with that statement. I'll agree that a stock RX-1 won't beat a piped viper but a clutched one should. One with Freddies K&N's will simply increase the lead for the RX-1. Both mods and you better get out of the way :!:
By the way, where is DeWitt  Hi there neighbor

if all is even, 147 hp viper that is alot less weight, should beat a 140 hp rx-1 every time. now it comes down to who owns what sled, it is not uncommon for the clutched rx-1s to beat piped vipers. jeff
