Just got my new seat today! and I love it.

I have owend many BOSS seats and they're good! BUT this new MOUNTAIN MOD seat is amazing. the seat has molded trunk like OEM double flaps(two) to keep the snow out!! and the base is molded plastic not foam!

This is there new high rise mod seat that fits on APEX or RX. The stiching is top notch. they are a little pricey at $750can! But its worth every penny! They tell me that the reason it is priced higher is.. that they used the plastic molded trunk and base! and the ones without that is cheeper!!!

This seat rocks!!!! thanks MOUNTAIN MOD!!!

I'm curious about the weight compared to OEM...ignoring the whole "water in the foam" argument, what do they claim is the dry weight savings? Better yet, can you throw them both on a scale for us when you do the swap and post your REAL results?

the seat is 7 LBS! not sure what OEM is? but I will find out!!!

NO! it bolts up just like stock!! thats why I love it!!!

Only boss using the ugly snaps, Mountian Mod seat is better than factory look. I used to have a boss seat, then MM got into Yamaha. Sold the boss, got the MM seat from Murray. Great guy to deal with too.

What sled are you installing it on? Is this seat taller than the stock Attack/Apex seat ? Do you have a link to a web site?

Mountain Mod really does excellent work! Murray is a great guy to deal with.

I have placed an order for the Mountain Mod seat as well. I ordered it in April. Murray tells me that he is getting a firmer type of foam that should benefit us heavier riders, hence the length of time to get my new seat. Each time I email him, he keeps saying that the new foam samples will be in shortly (apparently yesterday).

so, how do you atach the mountain mod seat to the sled? do you still have to do 2 hours of wrenching to get the seat of?
Doesn't the boss seat just snap on snap of? looking for an easier way to get to the turbo. Remember on the King Cat you just had to take out two snaps from under the seat... REALLY easy... on the Mighty Apex you have to remove exchaust covers, the platewhere the light in connected on the shorties, AND te two screws wich actually attaches the seat to the sled... freakin big job...
