I can't remember if I posted this or not (that stuff happens when you get to be my age) AND if this is the wrong forum, somebody can move it. But anyway here goes: they cut a brand new access trail through the swamp directly behind the BP station on Hwy 13. No more riding the miserable side of the road........although I might mention for SOMEBODY'S benefit that the railroad tracks are still there LaLaLa . I just rode up there for something to do and it is really nice. Two-way trail and it looked like I was the 2nd sled over it.................PLUS I passed TWO groomers

Awsome, that aspalt can ruin a $80 pair of carbides in a hurry!! #$%&*
See ya in January ;)!

very cool.did they install a sled bridge ?

Nope! All fill dirt and smoothed out with the heavy equipment from the concrete/excavating guy right there. They did a pretty nice job on it

wasnt there a little creek there ? oh it must be on the right side when your going south ?

Nope.....it's on the east side of the road. The "creek" that feeds that little wetlands flows through a plastic pipe......at least I think it's plastic... I didn't look too close......you go right over top of it.

hmm.i thought that side was really deep.that would be alot of fill to get it even with bridge.

so the riding is good up there ? better then last year this time ?

Rich, that last ride up there was 60 °!

Rich, what do you have for a sled now?

They didn't bring it up to the road............it goes down almost to the swamp and then back up......you hardly even notice it however it does seem weird to have the cars going by above you.

Riding great right now..........BUT significant warmup for this weekend. I'm a little over 200 mi. on the Nytro in the last 2 days. A buddy & I did a little cross-country back from Shingleton just now. REALLY nice when nobody been through there :jump:
