Just grabbed an 09 Vector GT, 3000miles on the clock, sled is in nice shape and the guy had service records but he trailered it in an open trailer...WTF this sled would be mint if he didn't but the price was right $4200. I can clean it up and maybe send some parts out for powder coat to make it mine. Just changed the oil, chain case fluid and greased jack shaft, speedo bearings and skid I should be set for the season.

Then I'll need a BEEF up kit!! I got the shocks back from Hygear for the 07 and got that all back together...damn I'm ready early this year maybe I should come over and we can take yours apart? Noticed a lot more clutch rattle in the 09? The 07 doesn't really have any? By the way I'm not in love with the idea of staying at Gary's buddys place...I'd rather pay for a place and not owe anyone anything? My 2 cents?

My 08 is the same way, I am going to try either some small O rings or Nylon washers and see what happens?

With your sled and all the salt it seen, I wouldn't be too afraid of spraying some areas down with water to help wash it out then spray with a good silicone lube or Krown or Rust Check spray in all the nooks and cranny's.

I would probably also open a lot of connectors and check to make sure they are not all corroded then I would either clean them up good if they were with a good contact cleaner then apply a good dose of Dielectric grease to them just to be sure. (JMO)

Thanks Irv all good suggestions, I did check some conections, everything under the hood is pretty clean, I'm going to give it a good cleaning and let it dry out in the garage for a few days, hit things with dielectric grease and polish the tunnel. I got to shine this baby up, Frano might not ride with a guy who has a dirty sled...his stuff is pristine!!

Don't worry about the clutch rattle. It only happens at idle (how much time do we spend there?). I agree with the buddy's place. Maybe we can find a Bed & Breakfast in the Old Forge, NY area--anyone know of one?

Thought it was odd the 07 doesn't at all? I'll start looking for some places in O.Forge...be careful asking about a B+B...Gary will think it's going to be a "cuddle and bubble" vacation!
