New-To-Me Apex - help setting up suspension/steering?

nice! Altho I am happy with the sled, I am still jealous of you!

As a bonus, I called Ulmer and they do in-fact have the bushing kits in-stock for the apex. Got a set coming via priority and should have em tomorrow!

bah! I paid for overnight USPS and the mail just came, sans bushings

:o|

ok, thats frustrating!

I checked USPS, and Express Mail is 2nd day from there to here. THAT IS NOT what Ulmer told me, they said its next day. So, I paid 18 bucks to have it shipped 'overnight' when the 5 buck priority woulda got it here the same time! I basically paid extra money to get the feeling of disappointment.

ulmer bushing kit installed, dropped fox floats to 45, and aligned the rear track and skis.

I'd say 95% of the darting is resolved! I only really get darting on decel/off throttle and certain snow conditions. However, I was riding behind my buddy and noticed when I was darting a little bit, so was he so I am not overly concerned. I still dont feel confident riding with one hand, such as when signaling to on-coming riders, but its definitely better. With the floats at 45 there is a huge difference in the ski lift and ease of steering.

I still have yet to adjust the rear suspension, and wonder if I would ever be happy without a revalve. The rear bottoms out too easily on some of the bigger stuff, and the smaller bumps seem too harsh for what they are. This is exactly what is described in the valving sticky at the top of this forum.
