Im not brand loyal by any means and have owned them all over the years but after selling my rev 2 weeks ago and wanting to try something different I test drove an attack and liked it,I also rode a apex gt and liked that as well.the thing that surprised me is the one that yamaha was demoing darted badly and I was assured it could be adjusted out.The dealer demo didnt dart and handled much better.I was puzzled by the fact that the yamaha test units werent set up as well as one of our local dealers sleds. Oh well,I think Im going to buy one for next year and from what I experienced on my test rides the motor alone will make it a fun sled.
Welcome to the site I notice on some of the demo sleds the abrs where turned and the toe was off but there's how many people beaten the crap out of them and I'm sure if someone bumped a tree nothing was said so yamaha could adjust it.

Welcome to the site! You'll learn alot here and soon be addicted (if you aren't already). Lots of guys have solved the darting to their liking using various methods. Plenty of options for that, some are using Doo skis, use the search.

The biggest cause of darting is too much weight on the ski's. I've got my rear suspension set pretty soft which keeps some weight off the ski's and the front ski shocks are also set softer then stock. Too light of front end might cause some pushing. Mine seems pretty good right now but it will still dart a bit on very hard groomed trails. I think next season I may experiment with either aftermarket ski's or carbides. I too came off a Rev with precission ski's and they don't dart as much as single runner ski's. I'm very confident that the darting can be controlled, I'm just not sure what direction to take at this time.

I know the gt I mentioned that didnt dart had some dual carbides on the stock skiis if anyone else has tried these?
The dooly's do eliminate the darting. But... ride with someone else with dooly's and you're back to square one, even if you're shimmed. I have 8" dooly's and 108 studs and don't like the response of the dooly's. In order to eliminate push you need alot of ski pressure making the steering heavy, which is exaggerated when cruising at slower speeds. IMO take the $150 and parlay it into new skis. If you do get the dooly's make sure you hammer the back end of them so they don't hang down from the keel or you will hang them up on everything when you back up. (in the trailer)
