New Venting for Nytro's - *Pictures*

They are pretty reasonable. $89-$109

Has anyone tried one of these yet? I bought one and have the cut out completed, but the wiring harness to the gage is about 4" short to mount it at the steering post. I'm debating removing the tape on the lighting harness and the air box sensor or has someone tried soldering an extra 4 "wire to the 6 wire plug?

I lengthened the harness on mine. I just cut the jumper harness in the middle, that connects from the 6 way connector to the guage assembly.
Then added the extra length to the middle of the harness, so the colors were correct at the ends.
When I had the IPC on the handle bar mount, I added about 7-8" just in case I wanted to change out the riser to a taller one.
I soldered the connectons and used shrink tube, however you could use butt connectors also. I recommend using the shrink/seal type for best results ;)!

Hey thanks Mtnviper-
I was considering just cutting the wire lead to the gage and soldering with the heat shrink tubing to seal it. I'll go with your suggestion to go with 8" length. Thanx! :rocks:

Got my IP vent installed. What great quality, and it fits like a glove. One of the best mods I've done for the money, that's for sure.

What do you want for it?

Moto from OFT has pictures of the install where you dont have to cut any wires. Check out the other thread

Well, got a couple of rides in with the IP Vent , and I am very happy with it. Sure does let some heat out too. Got the gauge mounted right on top but might end up moving it to the steering post. Thanks Roest for a great product.

i was able to get mine installed over the weekend. Install was smooth and i used the post guage mount. Didnt have to cut any wires by following Moto's from OFT instructions.
First ride will be this weekend out in Montana.
