The date for the TY ride will be Jan 28th-29th unless the weather and or snow conditions change. Otherwise we will do the ride the following week on Feb. 4th-5th. Meeting place is what we need to decide at this point. I have to drive 1 1/2 hrs just to get to Tuggers at Tughill so let's not make it too far of a drive ok? And lets find a place that is easy to find. Anyone have a line on a Motel in or near Lowville area? Rgredfoxx is gonna check on motels. Does Lowville sound like a central place to meet up?

RXONE, what do you mean you do not want to drive to far, I have to drive 5 hours to get to Lowville, Ride Blue will have at least 3.5 hours. Let's see where everyone else is coming from. If the destination is Lowville, so be it.
RXONE, One possible place to meet, would be at the Flat Rock Inn. Very popular place on the trail, and not too far from Lowville. There is also a very nice Hotel just 1 mile north of Lowville located right on a trail. The name of the Hotel is: Ridge View Motor Lodge. It is about a 20 minute ride to the Flat Rock Inn from The Motor Lodge. Those needing a place to stay could stay there, and meet those who are riding in at the Flat Rock Inn. Then the ride could start from Flat Rock. The Ridge View Motor Lodge is a fairly new place and was basically built for snowmobilers. It has about 40 rooms. Very nice place. There web site is www.ridge-view.com/ It is located on Rt.12 Just an idea!!!

So far we have about 20-30 riders interested.Seems like we should meet in a central location. Black warrior suggested Flatrock Inn. But I'm open for suggestions.

Thanks for the invite, but I do not have that much time. How about meeting on Tuesday late afternoon for a ride or early evening ride. I will take you up on your offer at a later date.
How about meeting at Stillwater, they have rooms also?

Big black warrior has a great idea of meeting at flat rock inn and staying at the river view motel I am checking on their rates and if available.
Another location that would be good is the www.timberview.com lodge in turin. Their rates for mid week are $55.00 per night for up to 4 people with 2 queen size beds. They have a resturant on site and are right on the groomed trails with lots of parking.
I think we should make a decision on one of these soon, as the rooms do get filled up
we got 20-24 in of snow here in taberg and settled down to about 15-18 in. rode some yesterday and we should be getting the groomer out this week to pan the trails down to start a base.
p.s. I had fun running thru the powder at 70-80 mph like floating along on a cloud .

I think Turin sounds great to me. It is a great deal closer, then we can ride north and hit the trails. Maybe we could have two places to start from and meet somewhere first thing in the morning on the trails.

hey fox where in taberg you live?im down there all the time.my grand mother owns wands used furniture. ilived there & actually that is where my sled is rite now as we speak.what you ride? maybe you ahve seen my sled around 2000 srx 700 with white windshield.
