I know this is not where to ask questions on conditions, but the trail conditions page is dead. Is there any riding in NH. I want to hook up with someone on Saturday.

80 miles north of Montreal in St. Zenon is where the trails are mint :D Just came back and I have 1100 miles on my Warrior now 8) Real Masse is a good place to stay and the rooms are inexpensive :D

Where were you thinking. From Lancaster-North would be about the only
place I would even consider. Anything South of there would be a waste of
time. I may be interested, give me a shout.

I was thinking the Groveton area. They say the trails are mostly good to excellent. They do however have some poor trails as well. Let me know.

Was there last week and the trails were actually pretty good. Can ride
to colebrook with no problem. No need to drive to Groveton, can park
at Cabots in Lancaster which is 25 minutes closer and jump right on
the tracks and be in Groveton by sled in the same amount of time.
More riding that way.

Al, I did not realize that was you. Why don't you join us on Saturday. I need a little throttle therapy.

Cabots motor lodge it is about 1 mile up on route 2 from route 3 in
lancaster. The tracks are right out the back of the hotel. It is the
alternate 5N about 20-30 min ride to groveton.

Hows this for a trip... Mid-March, we'll leave from my home, travel for a week. Guaranteed nobody else around. We'll get out 280 miles inland (I live on the hudson bay coast), sleep in a canvas tent amongst 300,000 to 500,000 Caribou and many, many wolves.

Costs from WPG, airfare for you and sled combined, $4000 return. Will require about $600 dollars worth of fuel, and $300 worth of grub which we will tow behind us.

We do this every year.

HD, thanks for the invite. I would like to join you sometime. I think we are going to drop in Groveland and ride to Pittsburgh. I do not have enough time to drive to Pittsburgh and come home in one day. Have a great day. Dress warm, it will be cold.

Wizard, please let us know how the trails are. I will be there with 5 others from out of state and I am hoping we can have some good riding. I will wait to hear from you. Have a great time. Dress warm, it will be way below 0 not including the wind chill.

I didn't realize there were so many local people on here! For trail conditioons in the northern part of the state, just ask. I'll have to pay more attention here! I live near Milan, just below Errol. I ride out of Errol most of the time. This is actually my first winter living up here, but I have come up in the past. I'll be in the Pittsburg area this weekend. For less driving and more riding, consider leaving from either Errol or Diamond Pond in Colebrook. I was out last weekend and the ride from Errol up through Pittsburg was excellent. There was the usual beat section for like a mile from the parking area on Rt. 26, but then I hit a little used freshly groomed trail. I am actually learning that the riding around the Errol/Diamond Pond area up toward Pittsburg seems better than the actual Pittsburg riding itself. Heavy traffic beats up the northern Pittsburg trails, but relatively little traffic north of Errol makes for great trails that stay smooth longer.

If anyone heading north wants to hook up this weekend, let me know. I could meet anywhere, any time to ride, or just to meet if you already have a group.

Jim
