I would love to buy a 2007 ATTAK but at 6'2'' and 210lbs i am simply to tall
My knees are up to my chin and my butt is sitting on the hard bump at the back of the seat

Then I'm arched right over like a hunch back just to reach the handle bars

Has anyone else found the same problem and more importantly:

Has anyone tried a modifiaction that works

LOVE THE SLEDS BUT CAN"T BUY ONE

Dear Yamaha,

You have a fantastic sled but are losing out on significant market share due to poor ergonomics.
Hate to mention it but a guy with the initilas X.P. has built a sled that fits us taller guys perfectly
Copy their measurements and build it into your sleds and you'll be surprised how many new happy customers you will have .

You could buy a Nytro and put a 136 under it. Seen it done.

:yam:

Yoyomah,

Please take the time to fill out your location in your profile, site rules.

Thanks!

I'm assuming the Attak isn't that much different than my '07 RTX. Suggest you consider installing a set of handlebar risers. I'm using a set of the Rox 2" and my butt can barely reach the seat hump afterward. I'll admit that the first ride had the bars right in my lap. I'm now able to climb right up to the tank comfortably. 6'2" 300

lol

I'll spare you all from posting my measurements but I'm fairly evenly proportioned
When I sit on all Yammy's my knees wind up being raised too high which results in my legs being tucked back under
Almost like being on a REV.
Very uncomfortable
I'm not slamming the sled.

I very much want one and am peeved that I don't fit.

I guess it's more of seat issue. I can always extend the riser.

If I could raise the seat enough my knees would be lower than my thighs and my lower leg wouldn't be doubled back under me.

I talked to one dealer about it and he said he wouldn't recommend modifying the seat due to pipes etc that run under there

I'm hoping someone else on here may have found a solution

Im 6',5" as well and I have no issues. I also ride 2-up with my girlfriend on the back and no problems. Its just the way you are currently positioned, this sled is very accomodating. You will soon find the right spot.

You might want to look at getting either a riser block as mentioned above or an apex mountain riser. With the apex mnt. being very easy to install, but thats not saying that the riser is hard to install, theyre both very easy.

Best advice is to just try to find a position comfortable to ride in and you will get used to that position.

Risors will help your uncomfortable riding position.

Put them on and you are good to go. ;)!
