I changed the stator in my apex and no Yamaha dealer has the gasket, My dealer ordered the wrong one and now I have to waite another week to get one. I really hate the way that Yamaha tells there dealers not to stock parts and that the parts are in the wharehouse. It would be better if I could order the parts directly from Yamaha what do I need a dealer for. If this doesn't change I will never buy another Yamaha again. I have to waite a week to get a 9 dollar part. Dealers know that these stators go bad they should have stators and gaskets. I called the ten dealers within 75mi of me and none of them have one. If I need a part for my ski doo my dealer has almost all of them. This is just disappointing I finally get the time to work on the sled and I cant get parts what bs.

Try Port Yamaha in Wisconsin. I hear they carry pretty good stock of parts.

Lol...it's not yamaha saying not to stock parts it's just that they don't want to , skidoo makes there dealers stock parts
parts
If Yamaha dealers don't want to stock parts then we should be able to buy parts direct from Yamaha we could get the parts much faster. Their current system is very slow certainly not like Amazon.

Give me a call tomorrow morning. I'm 99% positive I have the gasket on the shelf.

What kind of fastener? Surely there will be something to use as a substitute so you can ride. Maybe use a fastener from something less important? Think like macgyver, and you'll find a way to get it good to ride.

My local dealer doesn't carry parts either. (at least none of the 3 parts I've needed so far this year). I want to support my local dealer but I won't be able to from a parts perspective if it jeopardizes a ride.

Royal, are you talking a dzus fastener? If so, they are used on sport bikes and race cars, so try those kind of stores. Summit racing is super fast for shipping and has them too.
