I recently installed an HID setup. Upon plugging everything back in teh sled is dead! When I turn the ignition I get a very brief flash of light at the speedo gauge and then nothing! I've checked the fuses and battery power and they are ok. If it was a fuse I don't think I would even get that brief flash. I dont hear the fuel pump cycling either. Is there a relay possibly that could be bad? Any ideas what else I could look for?
so I found a starter relay next to the oil tank. I took it out and examined it...there is corrosion on it but not much. Cleaned and still nothing but a single click. Any idea what is making that click noise. i can' t seem to pin point it.

I had an extremely similar situation like this last season after installing my HIDs. At first everything was completely fine but a couple trips in and then all of a sudden sometimes I would go to turn on the sled and it would just click and go black on the dash or the dash would simply flash once briefly upon turning the key to on. What I ended up finding was that my ground cable was slightly loose and not getting a good enough connection.
You stated you checked battery power, while doing this did you check to make sure each terminal had a good connection?
My best guess would be your battery is weak (which you said was ok) or you are having the same problem as me with a loose ground connection. I hope this may help solve your problem but if not I don't have any suggestions on where else to look. Good luck with the fix.

I replaced the battery with a new one and even tried the old one(which wasn't bad but I replace every 2 years anyhow) which just came off the charger. I did have the battery out so there is a good chance I have a bad connection but if I'm reading 12V at the starter relay wouldn't that mean my ground at the battery is ok? If I jump across the start relay I get a lot of spark and the sled turns over. Bad relay?

Check the ignition switch connector for corrosion: Starter System Trouble shooting
I'm getting 12V at the ignition switch. I tried to clean the terminals but still no start. Where does the pod get the power from? the pod does not light up at all. I hear a single click when I turn the key and a brief flash on the pod. Everything appears to be grounded. I've started the sled several times in the last week. All of a sudden this stopped. I'd like to think it was a simple fuse or dirty plug but I've gone through all that. I guess teh plug/terminals can still be dirty but I would think since it was working just yesterday that I would get a little more than a click and a flash on the pod. What is the path of the power after it leaves the battery? Normally I hear the fuel pump when I trurn the key to on, I dont' even hear that now.
Grizz, I did the probe for 12V on the plug at the relay. The wire you show in the picture(red wire with white stripe) does not show 12V. I do get 12V on the wire next to the one you say probe for ground. this is a red wire with a green stripe. Can you explain what probing for gound means? what should I be looking for?

Try unplugging the HID to see if this is actually causing this. Unplug and see if it turns on. May have a bad module.
