I think what is happening is that Cat and Yamaha are attempting to change the way Sleds are going to be marketed and sold in the future! I believe, after this 2021 release by Cat, that Textron is steering the boat and Yamaha is along for the ride. It seems to me that they are making deals as they go along because of what each company is offering. For example take the Transporter 600 and the Northsman 600/800. For Cat the Northsman is there for 2019, gone for 2020, now back again for 2021. Yamaha has the transporter in Europe for 2019 and has it in North America for 2020. I believe that Textron and Yamaha are aligning themselves to be a true partnership company with each one taking a part of the pie that they want. We all have to remember that Textron and Yamaha don't need snowmobiles to survive! So maybe, by doing this, Textron will justify keeping the Artic Cat name alive and Yamaha will continue to have snowmobiles.
Nope really no excuse other than just being cheap a$$es. They are just sitting back relying on their devoted customers to continue too buy, just because it’s a yamaha. The cat line up is now a better sled IMO. Clutches are head and shoulders better than the yamaha clutches. I’m not much on warranty, I do all my own work and it seems the yamaha warranty is going to the dogs. Many have had issues, and it seems they are fighting hard not to do a lot of the work that should be covered.
If I buy it will be a Cat, better sled, less money.

Former Yamaha sleds:
2004 Venture 600 2002 SX Viper 700
1997 Vmax 600 SX 1994 Vmax 600 1989 Exciter
1986 Vmax 540 1986 Phaser 1981 SRX 440
There gonna lose there golden goose if they set prices so high the manufacturers stop coming. All of the dealers that used to go to the shows in my area do there own in house snow shows the week before the show cause it got to expensive to go to Milwaukee when you figure hauling all the merchandise and having a crew to run it and feeding them and hotels. There seems to be a little less every year.

I would honestly pay double to get in to the show if it would lower the cost for the vendors to get in and show up. It’s the one show we go to being from Illinois.

What ever happened to the Chicago show? I used to go to that show every year. Last year I went to the Milwaukee show but could not make it this year.
