When I turn my to key to accessory or when the I turn it to the off position I get a buzzing/rattle sound. I wasn't sure if this was common with Nytro's and I hate noises so I traced it down. I have no idea what the thing is that is making the noise so I attached a couple pictures. It is attached to the throttle body and does not appear to be a replaceable part.

So, can anyone tell me what this is and if it is normal for Nytro's to make this sound?

Thanks.

EBRS? (engine brake reduction system) It keeps the clutch engaged slightly when off the throttle. Just a guess though. Its really noticeable on my quad, when I cycle the key.

Or this:

Electronically controlled throttle bodies read your thumb almost before you slam the throttle lever to the bar. Computerized circuitry recognizes barometric pressure, ambient temperature, throttle position, engine rpm and everything else that matters to get you up to speed—immediately.

Searching the parts fiche doesnt list a seperate part, it just shows it as part of the throttle body assembly = 800 bux.

I know the exact noise you're talking about...but I have no idea what it is. I just accepted it as normal.

In our automotive world, we call it an IAC valve. Idle Air Control, its what keeps the idle consistant. The noise must be the valve moving thru its prove out like you discribe.

Rx1mtn is right Thats the EBRS solenoid, also used as the IAC valve. All the EBRS does is keep the throttle open slightly till speed comes down. Normal noise..

Does anyone know if the EBRS can be disabled by unplugging the connector or placing a shutoff valve in the hose that runs to the air box/inter-cooler?
