Went, and got our new RX1's on order. Just had to do it.
Thanks to Port Yamaha. ;)!

So just our of idle curiosity, what did they give you in trade for the bent bars???? LaLaLa

Oh SHI*, I meant "ouT" of idle................ #$%&*

Hey Buddah - Well, They were talking outright pricing, and we took advantage of it. Still have the 03 RX1, and the SXR700, with the bad idle.

Hey POWERHAULIC - You bet they will be trail ridin'. Only way to get a sled to have all year round use. We will be running Pro Bike/Sled class at Wisconsin International Raceway. And some other tracks.

Thanks again Terry and Ryan for stopping down and good luck on the pavement. We'll definitely have to hook-up on some TY rides next year and maybe make some Rubbish if you know what I mean. :-o

Hey impalapower - Wisconsin International Raceway opens April 17th, (Kaukauna), and I think the Union Grove opened already. I will be coming down on some Tuesday nights, to the Grove, to do some testing. PM me your phone # and I will call when I/we come down. :-o

You know Rubish guy your group of rubish run guys have left too many bad impressions of sledders already. There still are a lot of places that baulk when people from sothern WI try to make reservations in the UP and nothern WI.

That reputation has cost Port Yamaha more sales than you can imagine from sledders over 50. You have lost 20 or more from our group alone.

Duke, How is that so??? And why the attack on Port Washington. I have only heard and experienced good things in the 5 years I have been dealing with Port but if this is valid and you feel you need to speak out with intention of causing some king of pissing match...you are not in the right site. :ORC

Dukester I'm sorry if you or others have been offended. I have been the Parts Manager at this dealership for the past 5 years and have been on the Rubbish Run each year. Our group of guys have all matured from the days you speak of and have not had any bad feellings or misfortune with any of the places we stay or have dealt with over the time I have been involved. I can understand your feelings if there were some crazy days involved when the core of the people that were involved were between the ages of 18-25 but those days are long gone. The trip now has more meaning to the guys (roughly 50 down from the 100+ from previous years) that go. As you know all it takes is one or two to create a bad image of the whole. We like to have fun on this trip and it truly is special to see 50-100 Yamaha enthuisiasts all on the trail and off enjoying the sport together. If you prefer to hold onto the image you perceive so be it but I believe it would only be your loss in the future.

Tom you should know me better than trying to cause a pissing contest. It is your sight and if you want to kick me off go right ahead!! I also appreciate your concern as they help sponser your sight. I never brought the subject up but when I read about the rubish runs I had to post.

Please re-read the Port responce to my post in which they hint at the past.

At one time the rubish runs were sponsered by the owners of Port Yamaha. Every time I hear about the rubish runs I think of the times we had problems getting a place to stay and the times resorts notified the chamber of commerce in our area of the antics of the rubish riders. The ruined motel rooms, ruined motel furnature, smashed drink pitchers and broken glass. The drunken problems they caused where ever they went. All the smassed sleds for the world to see and for their bragging rights about their damage to other snowmobilers and especially non snowmobilers. Not to mention the injurys and loss of life associated with participant on those rides.

You dodn't have to talk to many people in this area and you will find out obout their rides in the 90's.

So if you want to kick me off feel free to do so. :ORC

Well thats just it ......It was the past....trust me I dont care to hang with people like that either but I was just trying to prevent these off season battles and from what you are saying , you know way more then me. But lets not let these things get everyone on the wrong foot ...from what I can tell...Port is an aged group of people that have maybe learned from there antics.....I am not kicking anyone. :yam: But it hurts to have it tossed back in my face without complete understanding and for that I am sorry.
